Father God, Lord of all! The stuff that is going on in this country is maddening. As a Christian, it is hard to draw that boundary line between Christian and American and it’s hard not stepping over it into this world. I ask not only for wisdom for myself but for America and every nations’ leaders. I pray they seek godly counsel that they remember with this virus, you are in control and they are NOT! Father help me to speak my mind on what is happening, but with reverence to you first, not to man. Help me to stay humble through all of this. Help me to see what you are teaching me through this quarantine. Don’t let me slander anyone, or call names. Help me Father to use godly wisdom if I must say anything at all. Our country can’t survive this way of living, or maybe we can, but people are financially burdened by the quarantine and lives are upside down, but at the same time, lives are ending! What do we do? Have mercy on us Lord! Hear our pleas! Help us all to remember we belong to you first and everything else does too. So many have forgotten you, Lord, may they open their blinded eyes to see! In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

H.E.A.R. the Good News Luke 5:16
H. verse 16: But Jesus himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.
E. The news was spreading quickly all over and large crowds would gather around wherever he was, he needed to get away, to be alone so he could talk with his Father.
A. We need alone time with our Father. We pray at church and we pray for others when asked, but to have a true relationship with our Father we must pray unceasing and our devotion time, our alone time to open our hearts up to God is very important.
R. Father God, as I study your Word and learn more about you, I learn something new daily and I pray I would never forsake my alone time with you. It is my time with you, it is cherished time. I pour my heart out to you Lord in prayer as it should be. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
DORIAN…
As the saying goes…waiting on a hurricane is like being stalked by a turtle! It is the TRUTH! So much preparation even when it’s not a direct hit. Making sure you have water, and food, and cat food, and the clothes are washed and the house is clean. Making sure you pack the freezers with plenty of ice to keep the food cold longer in case of power outages. Take photos of all of your possessions, and on and on and on…next is the yard! Bring in anything that might crash through a window and hurt someone, like garden flag poles, garden decor. My hubby has to take the swing down and hide it among the bushes so we don’t have a disaster with it flying. Tomorrow we will close up our shutters and zip tie them shut and pray the wind doesn’t break a window and blow them open! It is really dark in the house when they are closed like that, ah it just makes it more EEEEERY when that wind starts howling! Then the siding rattles and moans and it’s continuous. I feel like the house will blow apart at any moment. Of course I get a bit dramatic with it. Love to go live on FB and say not much of anything haha, just because I am bored. Anyway, I got Jesus, he’s got me and in the end when it’s all over, I will open up the shutters and praise God for the beauty of another day surviving a hurricane. Since we moved here, seems like it’s one year after another of storms! I am not sure why we still stick around here, but I do love the people and the area on off season! Well, I love the people all the time HA! The area, NOT so much! I thank you Jesus for the friends and family I have made here, and the life my husband and I have here. It’s because of my move here that I found you again, and this time, I got you, and you got me, hallelujah! If I have any power the rest of the week I will continue with my New Testament blog, if we lose power, I’ll be back as soon as IT is! Please keep the Bahamas in your prayers and keep the entire East coast in your prayers as well. Have a beautiful and blessed day y’all! BYE!!!
